WHY AGENDA MATTERS

Acquisition of Geoenvironmental Numerical Data (AGENDA) stands for advanced digitization, seamless integration, and geospatial intelligence that transform decades of environmental and geotechnical data into reliable, accessible, and future ready knowledge for science, engineering, and society.

Responsive

AGENDA accommodates heterogeneous datasets from legacy archives to modern digital outputs and aligns them under a unified, interoperable structure ready for long term use.

Quality

Standardised workflows, metadata rules and validation steps ensure data consistency and scientific reliability, regardless of the source or contributing institution.

Support

Clear guidance, structured processes and scalable data entry workflows make it easy for laboratories, field teams and institutions to contribute, verify and apply data confidently.

ABOUT AGENDA

about 1

about 3

AGENDA is a research project focused on digitising and systematising geotechnical and environmental data generated within the Faculty of Geotechnical Engineering. It develops an interactive, georeferenced digital database that brings together datasets from Geotechnical Laboratory [ GL], Environmental Geochemistry Laboratory [EGL ]and Environmental Engineering Laboratory [EEL] using the SAS model for structured storage, access and search.

Although the system initially integrates GFV datasets, its architecture is designed for future expansion into a broader national geospatial platform capable of accommodating geotechnical, geophysical, geochemical and related environmental data. This foundation supports interdisciplinary research, spatial analysis and open science principles aligned with national digital infrastructure development.

The AGENDA project is structured into three progressive phases that guide its development from initial validation to large scale implementation and long term national integration, ensuring a clear pathway from concept to sustainable digital infrastructure.

DISEMINATION & VISIBILITY

We maintain project visibility through transparent communication and open science principles embedded in AGENDA. Progress and key outcomes are shared through institutional channels and the project website, ensuring accessibility of information to the academic community, industry partners and the general public. The project supports openness by providing access to metadata, tools and selected datasets in line with open science standards.
